Life gives us the opportunity to come face to face with so many emotions in life. Love, anger, joy, sorrow, pain, fear, ecstasy and many more. As time moved on, the emotion that took the top gear is "Freak". Freaking out these days is not just an emotional outburst; instead its turning into a cult.
Now the question is why do people freak out?? Work pressure, corporate politics, awful work life balance, complex relationships, fragile trust level, mounting loans, fucked up family life, etc. The freaking process is just a temporary and virtual stress buster. To be precise, it doesn't actually reduce stress. On the other hand it increases stress for others.
How do people freak out?? Shouting at people around. Screaming on near and dear ones. Giving a dressing gown to your subordinates. Teachers freak out at students, Parents on kids. Throwing stuff. Destroying things close to your heart. Fighting unnecessarily. Eating all nonsense stuff. Shopping like crazy. And some go to the extent of risking life. To summarise it all, none of the ways are doing any good in reducing your stress level. Instead, its creating a ruckus in your relationship with others. The aftereffects of this freak out phase is realised pretty late and sometimes its not in a state where everything can be put back in shape.
What I conclude is that one needs to say "Time Up!! I need a break and not freak out". A break suddenly adds value to the moment. A break can be an outing with old friend, a visit to a pub one weekend, trying out an adventurous sport, watching an old movie, a trip with your better half in an exotic location or going through your childhood pics. Its time we relax, step back, think and not react.
So friends, Say no to Freaking !!!
